چکیده
This paper identifies factors that influence the severity of interstate crash outcomes and how they vary depending on location manner collision. Four separate injury models were developed to explore differences similarities in between single-and multi-vehicle crashes occurred rural urban areas state. Random parameters multinomial logit with heterogeneity means variances modeling approach was used account for unobserved data. The model estimation results show some driver behavioral such as speeding, aggressive driving, failure use seatbelt, driving without a valid license found significantly contribute form outcome. roadway features type opposing lane separation, collision type, temporal lighting conditions also explored. Some associations these based unraveled. These findings are expected guide implementation countermeasures interstates. this study further support evidence analysis subsets data unravel underlying complex relationships within severity.

Highway Work Zone Risk Factors and Their Impact on Crash Severity
Numerous factors may contribute to high-severity crashes in highway work zones. Identifying these factors and then alleviating their impact is a challenging task that traffic engineers and researchers have to confront. In this study, the work zone risk factors that could increase the probability of causing fatalities when severe crashes occur were examined using a comprehensive approach. The re...

AIM The aim of this paper was to investigate whether the extent of neurological impairment, the location of ischemic lesions due to stroke are associated with the severity of post-stroke depression. MATERIALS AND METHODS The study included 82 patients, who were diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke and post-stroke depression and were admitted to the Neurology Clinic of Cluj-Napoca County Emerg...
متن کاملFinite mixture modeling approach for developing crash modification factors in highway safety analysis.
This study aimed to investigate the relative performance of two models (negative binomial (NB) model and two-component finite mixture of negative binomial models (FMNB-2)) in terms of developing crash modification factors (CMFs). Crash data on rural multilane divided highways in California and Texas were modeled with the two models, and crash modification functions (CMFunctions) were derived. T...
متن کاملCRASH ATTRIBUTES THAT INFLUENCE THE SEVERITY OF ROLLOVER CRASHES Kennerly H. Digges
This paper examines NASS/CDS 1995 to 2001 in order to evaluate rollover crash severity metrics and to recommend additional data elements to assist in determining rollover severity. For belted occupants and unbelted ejected occupants in single vehicle crashes, the number of roof impacts is an appropriate severity indicator. For ejected occupants, the ejection risk generally increases with the nu...
